Summer Floral Planter Workshop
Come learn to assemble your own beautiful summer planter. You will receive an assortment of grass/spikes, annual flowers & trailing plants to create colour, height, depth and dimension.
Everything you need will be provided, planters, flowers, soil etc.. We recommend bringing your own gardening gloves.
Traditional Soap Makring Workshop
Learn the fundamentals of Traditional Soap Making in this hands-on workshop where you will learn the techniques, ingredients and equipment needed to make your own sudsy bars. We will touch on some "fun science" (the backbone of soap making), the differences in ingredients, soap making methods and techniques to then create your own custom bars equaling over 2 lbs. or 14 bars. Participants will mix, customize and mold your own bars to take home. All supplies including a detailed handout containing all the information discussed during the class with recipes and instructions.
Participants must have legs covered and closed toed shoes. Safety glasses, gloves and aprons will be provided. Please bring an old towel to wrap your soap in and a bag to transport it home.
Needle Felt Workshop
Needle Felt Landscape
Using a variety of wool colours, fibre artist and instructor Cathy Disbrow will teach you how to needle felt a 6″ x 4″ wool painting of a spring landscape with a flock of sheep. Have a fun evening while learning various 2-D felting techniques while needle felting your very own wool masterpiece into a felt sheet canvas and special felting needles.
This is a great workshop for beginners.
Wool, 2 needles, and a 6″x4″ felt sheet with drawing are included in the cost. Foam felting pads are provided for students to use during the workshop and can be purchased separately.
Candle Making Workshop
Have you always wanted to make your very own candle, but weren't quite sure how? Please join us at our upcoming candle making workshop and spend an evening experiencing a new craft and be inspired to explore your creative side!
Participants will be provided with the tools needed, including the candle-making supplies, to create two 8oz soy wax candles and a 6 pack of tea lights. Soy wax is eco-friendly and provides a cleaner longer lasting burn!
