Traditional Soap Making Workshop

 Learn the fundamentals of Traditional Soap Making in this hands-on workshop where you will learn the techniques, ingredients and equipment needed to make your own sudsy bars. We will touch on some "fun science" (the backbone of soap making), the differences in ingredients, soap making methods and techniques to then create your own custom bars equaling over 2 lbs. or 14 bars. Participants will mix, customize and mold your own bars to take home. All supplies including a detailed handout containing all the information discussed during the class with recipes and instructions.

Participants must have legs covered and closed toed shoes. Safety glasses, gloves and aprons will be provided.

Please bring an old towel to wrap your soap in and a bag to transport it home.

Foraging Workshop

Join us for an immersive educational foraging workshop in the heart of Ontario, where nature’s bounty awaits! This hands-on experience will teach you to identify wild edible plants and mushrooms native to the region, unlocking a world of flavors and sustainable food sources. Guided by an experienced forager, Chef Jordan will teach you how to safely and ethically harvest ingredients while respecting the delicate balance of the ecosystem. Topics will include plant and fungi identification, seasonal availability, and best practices to ensure sustainable foraging.


After the foraging walk, we’ll gather to create a light, delicious snacks using the fresh, wild ingredients we’ve harvested. Together, we’ll explore how these foraged items can be transformed into simple yet flavorful dishes, complemented by additional locally sourced ingredients. Whether you’re a beginner or have some foraging experience, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature, deepen your knowledge, and enjoy the rewards of mindful harvesting.
